There was a time when PitPat really came in handy. It was really scary.
So we were on a walk and a door opened to a flat and a gentleman came out with three large dogs, around about 60 kilos in weight. They pulled him over here to let go of the leads. And they chased.
I had to let go of her lead, so I just said, “Run”. Good girl. There we go.
Once I’d let go of the lead and she’d gone running off. I connected my phone so that I could see which way she was running. So that I could try to follow, she was zigzagging through the streets. I didn’t have to go too far because I could see that she was. She kept trying to come back to me.
I contacted the police and showed them on the tracker. I was able to show them the route that she’d been taking, trying to get away from them, which was a big help. And then eventually, once they’ve got the dogs under control, she could come back to me safely.
All her claws were bleeding because she’d been running that much. She’d scraped on the ground so much. She did almost get hit by a car, but you were in a bit of a sorry state, weren’t you? So we had to get you checked over at the vets, didn’t we? Yes, but you were fine. Just a bit shaken.
